KG2 Homeroom Teacher
* Masa Hijazi is a KG-2 Homeroom Teacher, at Saudi GEMS International School. She is a qualified early years teacher with over 10 years of experience. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Information Technology from the University of Jordan. Her passion for teaching encouraged her to open her own preschool in Jordan before moving to Saudi Arabia. She attended many professional development courses and workshops to help her throughout her career. However, she believes that the best lessons are the lessons she learns from her students! She worked in various international preschools in Jeddah and AlKhobar. Students in her class are given the opportunity to question, inquire, explore and discover. She creates a child centered learning environment; where students feel safe and have the confidence to explore and take risks. Her philosophy of teaching is inspired by the saying, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”. While Kindergarten marks an important transition, it is important that children still get to be children. She absolutely loves teaching early years and it is her mission to instill love for learning in her students. She attempts to teach with passion so that her students develop a desire to become life-long learners and to build a foundation from which they can grow and succeed.
